Whistle while you work

As a teacher, I enjoy being able to be off major holidays. I also get to relax and refresh over the summer months (I still work-but with my own schedule). I am usually ready to go back to school in August and begin an entire new adventure with new faces!
This Christmas break was so wonderful, because I was able to spend quality time with my family. But the time flew by so quickly. I look forward to having my life back on a schedule, but will miss the family time.

Christmas 2008

This Christmas was wonderful. There were lots of parties, food, fun and games. I love the holidays! Every Christmas Eve we spend in Blackwell, OK with my husbands family. Cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents are always there. We didn't think that Tyler's parents would be able to spend the holidays in Oklahoma (they moved to California about two years ago). But to our surprise on Christmas Eve, they came! Tyler and I were so happy that we would be able to see them for the holidays. What a wonderful Christmas gift!?

This was also the first year that Tanner could open his Christmas gifts. He was only a few months last year during this time. So, it was fun to watch him rip the paper. He is a typical child in that he loved the packaging as much or more than his actual gifts.
